MS FOR MS

Today I walked with thousands of other Utahan's
to donate our time and money to help
find a cure for multiple sclerosis.

Sara, (whom I work with) her husband lives with the disease.
This is her young family.

The walk started at the Gateway in SLC and we
walked approx 4 miles thru the north end of the city.

It managed to not rain or snow on us
and the event was rather low key.

These are my"DeVry" University commrads.

It was a nice morning, I'm happy I participated!

We can only hope

That in the resurection Dallas' new 5 week old bunny will live again.

On Friday, I took Dallas to the pet
store to get her a bunny rabbit
She picked out a mini rex with white and tan spots.
We bought a hutch for $130.00, food, toys and brought it home.
Dallas played and kissed and took the bunny with her everywhere
for 2 days and then it died.
end of story....

Mother Earth...I love you..

I have been a big supporter of Earth Day since 1970.
That is 41 years of really wanting to do my part to
protect, love, reuse, recycle, replenish our beautiful world.
The two images above were the very first
symbols used to promote Ecology Day

Click here to a very interactive website
full of all different kinds of activities
for you and your family to do and learn more about
Earth Day.

Here is an awesome website if you love wearing t-shirts
and want to support environment projects.

here are a couple of examples that I would wear:
I will probably go pick up trash and debris around
my neighborhood and down to the Provo River Trail.

Kat

We named her, Katlin Kay
(although I fought hard to give her the middle name
of Kate, after my
grandmother, Kate Burch Terry).

She has been known in our family as:

* Caitlin(Kate-lynn)
*Kat
*Kitter Catter
*Kit-Kat
*the "smart one"
*the "rich sister"

-She still holds the honor of being the only
daughter to graduate from college.

-Wreck the most cars

-Have the most surgeries

-the "most creative"

-the "most organized"

Remains "single"
the longest of the sisters.
(that's not hard to do when you only
have one sister that is married.)
~~~
Today
Katlin received her Patriarchal Blessing
Here she is at 5 years old.
Katlin as a "tween"
(love photographing those un-posed moments)
Katlin with date at winter formal
(she looks like a Barbie doll!)
Her graduation day from -UC Santa Barbara
It was a very nice day with my family.
Announcing Spring
Here is a very quick way to make a Spring Banner.
The colors are a sight for winter eyes.
I am sending this to Houston, Texas to
three young rascals. I can't wait to see them in
a few months from now!
Everything was bought at Michael's Craft store
except the "Spring" pendents of which I made out of felt.
(this took me about hour and half to put together.)
Can't wait to weed, fertilize and plant my garden!
Spring's Birth
Click here to see incredible time-released images of a budding POPPY.
Poppies
Mary Oliver
The poppies send up their
orange flares; swaying
in the wind, their congregations
are a levitation
of bright dust, of thin
and lacy leaves.
There isn't a place
in this world that doesn't
sooner or later drown
in the indigos of darkness,
but now, for a while,
the roughage
shines like a miracle
as it floats above everything
with its yellow hair.
Of course nothing stops the cold,
black, curved blade
from hooking forward—
of course
loss is the great lesson.
But I also say this: that light
is an invitation
to happiness,
and that happiness,
when it's done right,
is a kind of holiness,
palpable and redemptive.
Inside the bright fields,
touched by their rough and spongy gold,
I am washed and washed
in the river
of earthly delight—
and what are you going to do—
what can you do
about it—
deep, blue night?
APRIL 2
You can never tell what the weather will be like in the
months of April & May in Utah.
Here's an example...
This is what I woke up too, this morning at 6:00 am
(back yard)
This what I saw when I looked out onto the driveway..
Wait...
..is that an open sunroof window left open from the 67 degree weather
from last night when the star's were all a-glow?
The "swede" left his sunroof open all night and guess
what he found?
He just laughed and said; "who knew it would snow 10 inches???
We decided to take advantage of this beautiful
spring snow storm and headed up the mountains to:
We put our snowshoes on and headed up the
pristine snow to the back side of Mt Timpanogos.
It was blue skies one moment and then a
cloud would pass over the sun.
All alone on unmarked trails amongst
the pines and aspen trees....(heaven)
For some reason the "swede" and I have to document
our adventures by taking self portraits.
(estoy en mi rostro natural)
I think...I like "bi-polar" Spring!
