Flower Me Spring

Back in that late 70's I was obsessed in getting
my trousseau together, because that
is what my mother taught her daughter's to do.

I started collecting my china pattern with my
birthday and Christmas presents and soon
I had a 12 piece place setting .

This is what I LOVE about Spring:
The Flowers...

~
This is what you could lay on at night:

(or run thru the "poppy fields"!)
~

And this is what my "Springy" china
pattern looks like:
I have kept all my china in it's original boxes
(wonder how much that goes for on ebay?)

They sell this patterned china as "vintage" now!

Spring Break-Conclusion

It is very difficult for me to write this post...

This is the end of my respite.
I am heading back on
a jet plane and don't know when I'll be back again
....oh babe I hate to go....
here is the wrap up of a
very successful luxuriating get-a-way.

At Ho Sum Bistro(NB)across the street from the Alberstson's grocery store.
A Must if you are down on the Newport peninsula.

My very favorite Chinese chicken salad!!

Driving along PCH going into Laguna Beach(LB)
the old time famous Shake Shack

Ariving in the old stomping ground of Laguna Niguel(LN)

Remembering the warm sand on my feet...
...it just couldn't be better than this!

Mislead..

AUGUSTA, Georgia (Reuters) - Phil Mickelson
claimed his fourth major title, and third Green Jacket, when he won the U.S. Masters on Sunday.

The American left-hander fired a five-under-par 67 to post a 16-under total of 272 at Augusta National.

~~~~~~
I was feeling pretty smug and going to write this wonderful post on Phil Mickelson...
BUT
He is really a right hander :(
LEFT TO TELL
This is the book I am currently reading to gain a
better understanding of cultural conflict and the
atrocities that we as Americans are so far removed from.
This is not a new story, but you might want to hear and read about it for yourself.
I would love to meet Immaculée Ilibagiza
Spring Break 2010-The Beginning
It has been almost a year since my last visit to So Calif.
(I refuse to refer to Southern California by the
cheap name of Callie ..!!)
OK, I got that off my mind.
We, (Dallas Sophie, the swede and me ) made it here, to Costa Mesa,
in 10 hours with an hour stop in Vegas.
As we moved southwest, the weather
was warmer and more humid.
Dallas began to notice things that she has not seen
or realized about the California coast.
1. Palm Trees
2. Humidity
3. Lots of Cars
4. How fast people drive..
5. Sunshine
Our first stop was Little Corona (for all you locals) and for those that are not,
this is a small semi-private beach in Corona Del Mar.
We got a tad of a sunburn, but we didn't care..it was
so relaxing and the ocean breeze smelled so great!!
The Swede was definitely in his element,
(you can take the surfer away from the surf, but you
can't take the surf fever away from the surfer... Ha..Ha)
We brought only the boogie boards, but soon, he'll be up
on his long board.
San Onofre & HB here we come!
