What can you do with a red wool coat?

Here is the story...

Katlin(my second daughter) brought to me a red coat from her friend Margeaux. It seems that she didn't want it anymore and Katlin had just bought herself a red wool coat. 

I took it to get dry cleaned and 

the dry cleaner called 

me to say that the red wool coat 

had 3 moth holes.

He did not think it was worth cleaning

(the holes were in the 

front of the coat.) 

SAD...Not so sad...now I can snip, cut, that red wool coat and make??

The Swede is Famous

Act Your Age..

I am in a hair slump.

What do you do when this happens?

Well here is what I do...

(This always reminds me of when I was 6 yrs. to 10 yrs. old, my mom 

would curl our hair with bristle rollers.)

What ever your age is, you should behave like it. 

But, it doesn't mean that you should be missing all the fun. It is still fun being 50, I suppose. Well, even if there is no fun in being 50, try to feel younger. 

The most important is how you feel INSIDE. 

If you are happy and content at 50, you feel it on the inside and then it will show on the outside. It will have a great affect on your skin, hair and your outlook on life (you might even look younger.)

I like it when people say to me.. 

"you don't look your age."

Retro Fabrics

My Mom was Collector of Fabric. 

I think that it was a good weakness she possessed. 

She would buy the piece and than later would decide what to make from it.

She left our family boxes of fabric. 

I gathered all the colors of Christmas and made my sisters a table topper to display our mom's cherished fabric pieces. Circa.1970's-early 80's.

Looking for a Job..

You would think at my age I could be content to live my life out the way I please! 

But when the economy is in ruins and your swede doesn't know if his job is secure(who really has this kind security in this day in age.)

We own 2 homes, have 1 car payment, 1 child attending a university, 1 child in Jr. high school who is a great  club soccer player, 1 crazy sewer,quilter, 2 skiers, 1 snowboarder, 2 females that love clothes. 1 horse owner..

well, can see the writing on the wall for me?
