Feeling like Felting Halloween

I think this is one of the greatest inventions.
This cloth is very versatile and can range in price from
25 cents a square to $9.00 a yd.

One afternoon, while lunching at Barnes & Noble
I happened upon this pattern
book in my favorite section:
POP UP Books.

It was destiny....

I used their patterns to create my own.
Their finished size doll was about
5 inches and mine are 12 inches.

The "swede" was out of town for a week and so
in my loneliness and boredom I sewed and made a
Big mess...
It was very therapeutic!

Here is what I made:

Zombie Undertaker

Vampire Zombie

Zombie Boy

Thrilla

Zombie Kitty

Dead Ducky
I think the grandkids will laugh instead
of being scared when they see these zombie's!

B l o o o g i n g

Lately, I have been so B U S Y..that my blogging posts
have really been l a g g i n g.

Autumn is upon the valley now and the weather is
cooling down which means that I will be spending
less time outside and more time inside...(boo hoo)
my garden is in it's second bloom,

This is the 4th season of
Helianthus annuus
in my front yard.

This year I decided to plant even more of these wild beauties.

The end of June, I transplanted these seedlings from
one area of my garden to the east
side of my front yard (they are in shock)
Behind these seedlings is an big ugly hedge.
.
The seedlings are now about 4 weeks
The plants in this picture have matured to "teenagers"
( hopefully you don't see the ugly hedge)

Here they are in full bloom.
Amazing that they survived the transplant.

I found this conjoined beauty, I estimated that
this season there have been hundreds of sunflowers.

To the Left and to the Right and down
in front of my home, we are known to be the
"Sunflower Home".

Have You Tasted???

Looks like candy....
Tastes like some kind of berry...
I am reaping the delicious benefits of this fruit..
Those are yellow raspberries kissed by the sun.
I planted them 3 years ago and this year was a bumper crop.
They taste like a cross between a white grape and a red raspberry.
I made crepes today and filled it with mixed berries...Y U M !

Addendum to (pulling the handcart).

Surprise.. to me.....

The swede was reviewing the photo's he had taken of our trip to
Martin's Cove. He took these shots as I was so stubbornly
pulling him in the handcart to see if I had the strength and stamina to do it.

This is what took place "behind" my back...

When I turned around to see why he was so quiet,
he snapped this one.....
Long day on the trail...
