Monster Dolls

Here is how it began....
I asked my grandkids,
Finn(7 1/2 years old) Farren(4 1/2 years old)
to draw me a monster on paper and to email it.

So I waited, and waited and had to call many times to
remind their mommy to email the pictures.

Finally..
they came through the magical airways to my mailbox.

I had this idea (I may have seen it in a book) to make
them a felted monster doll..
SEW.....

Here is Finn's picture

Here is the Monster Doll
This doll was hand made
 by Aunt Katlin!

Here is Farren's Drawing of her monster
Ta Dah...

Farren's Monster doll made by me!
Her monster is sitting on a giant snake monster!

Preparing for my trip to Houston

Aubry(my oldest daughter) and her husband and children are preparing to welcome a new baby into their lives. Italic

I get to join them soon and with my freedom to sew, I have made
a few things to take to everyone..well, maybe not Todd..what do you make a son-in-law?
(a tie, shirt, blanket, pin cushion?)

I am always at a stupor when it comes to buying, making things for the male gender.

My most recent item is my version of the Hooter Hider, Nursing Cover, Boobie Blanket.
This is such a great invention.
(One that I did not get to use when nursing).

I made this pattern by Tara Lee at Pinkatilly blog  with a good quality 100 % cotton and terry cloth.
I liked the idea that you could use it, to absorb liquids(milk products).
It has two pockets on the back side, for pads, treats, pacifiers.

I hope Aubry likes the material print.

A Reverent Doll

 I Love this doll....
Yes, she is folding her arms, her eyes are closed and she has a crown on her head!

What does this mean? (did you read her crown?)

PRAYER PRINCESS

This is Kassie and I made this doll for her, to thank her, for all the prayers she gives in our Young Women's program at church.
She is awesome and will volunteer when no one else will.(She loved her prayer princess doll!)

Easter-Reflections

Minerva Teichert(1889-1976)

Rebirth
New Beginning
Born Again
Live Again
Resurrection
New Life

These words remind me of the Great Gift The Saviour Jesus Christ gave to all mankind.

Without his Atoning Sacrifice we could not live again in the presence of GOD.

I feel very blest,
I am  grateful to HIM

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Beautiful portrayals of Christ.

Enjoy your Easter Sunday!

"Lost in Nostalgia"

I came across these photos of my favorite TV show in the late 60"s.

This family had its share of alien problems,
along with other corny mishaps and adventures.
Angela Cartwright was the teenager daughter, she has had
a great TV and motion picture career.
She is also a very creative person.

My sister Jeana, had this fixation on Billie Mumy  aka-Will Robinson
(the youngest in the show.)
The Mom is June Lockheart, I first remember seeing
her at the movies in my elementary school's cafeteria.
She was the Mom in the "Lassie" series.

I'm not sure about the rest of the cast..oh, the stow-away
was Dr Zachery Smith who was always up to some deviant scheme.

The Robot will go down in history as it's famous sayings..
 " Warning, Warning"
"Danger Will Robinson"

If you have never seen one of these series, check it out,
it was age of low technology and stupid fun.

When Feeding a Large Feeding Frenzy..

This is Not always a hit..Don't feed to the cynical gourmet.

I like it, it really brings out the sweet/sour flavor of the
 all the ingredients in this
Chinese Chicken Sundae.

Just by looking at the picture, can you tell me
all the ingredients in this dish?

Hint:
*There are warm and cold items in it.
*Yes, they are all very healthy for you.
*There is a bit of cutting and chopping to do.

What is your guess?
