When a Good idea....

...goes really wrong....

..this is what I mean.

I love to sew. I love to make things for my home and for my family.

(they tell me that I sew cute and fun things,

sometimes beautiful things, sometimes heirloom things).

I was in the process of making a few 4th of July decorations for Aubry's home.

I pulled out my scrap box of patriotic fabrics and thought

I would "whip up" a 1/2 dozen drink coasters.

It was not difficult until the finished edge (the binding).

Well, I learned that you cannot, I repeat, you cannot sew binding on a small

item such as a coaster, take a look at the back and have a good laugh!
